Intuitive Eating



Intuitive eating has long been established as an alternative way to lose weight. But it can do more than that. It can help with weight maintenance, long term change, increased confidence in your food choices and the ability to see the endless supply of dieting books from a totally new perspective.


Becoming an intuitive eater is something that we often need to practice. It takes time to stop and listen or consider and become aware. Strategies to increase this sense of awareness can include mindfulness using the triangle of awareness. It can also improve by taking the time to assess hunger and fullness levels using a simple scale. You can also practice sensing bodily sensations that come from both emotions and physiological states.
